Your tasks:
As a Senior Design Engineer specializing in wiring harnesses for medical equipment, you will play a critical role in the development of our innovative products. Your extensive experience and expertise in ISO 13485 and UL requirements will ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance in our medical devices.
- Wiring Harness Design: Develop wiring harnesses for medical equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and UL requirements, industry standards, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Product Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and product designers, to seamlessly integrate wiring harnesses into medical devices while meeting regulatory standards.
- Electronic & Electrical Component Selection: Select appropriate wiring components, connectors, and materials to meet the specific needs of each medical equipment project, considering ISO 13485 and UL compliance.
- Prototyping: Create prototypes and perform testing to validate wiring harness designs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and make necessary improvements.
- Documentation: Generate detailed engineering documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and manufacturing instructions, adhering to ISO 13485 documentation requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control processes to ensure the reliability and safety of wiring harnesses in medical devices, aligning with ISO 13485 and UL quality standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with ISO 13485 and UL requirements and other industry regulations, and ensure that wiring harness designs strictly adhere to these requirements.
- Cost Management: Work within budget constraints and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality while considering ISO 13485 and UL compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices in wiring harness design, especially in relation to ISO 13485 and UL requirements.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians on wiring harness design principles, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
- Proposals: for techno-commercial offers for medical device
- Cross-functional: work with BD team
Your profile:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • 8-10 years of experience in wiring harness design for medical equipment, with a focus on ISO 13485 and UL compliance. • Proficiency in CAD software for designing wiring harnesses, Creo, Capche. • Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 and UL requirements related to medical device wiring. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus. • Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation in medical device design. • Open for travel on need basis
