Your tasks:
As an Indirect Tax Manager, you are skilled and experienced to oversee and manage our indirect tax compliance processes within the Region. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that our business adheres to VAT, GST, sales tax, and other indirect tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. You will report directly to the Tax Director for Europe & North Africa.
- Overseeing and ensuring the punctual and precise reporting of VAT in the region.
- Managing preparing VAT/sales tax returns, EC sales lists, intrastat reports and other indirect tax filings, using technology solutions and tools.
- Managing the reconciliation of indirect tax positions to accounting items.
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to address indirect tax-related queries and provide guidance on indirect tax matters.
- Collaborating with tax authorities during VAT audits, offering requested documentation and explanations. Resolving VAT-related disputes or issues, finding solutions that align with tax regulations.
- Monitoring changes in indirect tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and timely adaptation to new requirements.
Your profile:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related field.
- Proven a track record (5-8 years) in handling indirect tax compliance, specifically in VAT across Germany, other EU countries and the UK.
- Possess experience with VAT compliance and processes.
- Hold experience with setting up indirect tax systems, including ERP systems (SAP).
- Obtain strong knowledge of international indirect tax regulations and a proactive approach towards staying updated with changes in tax laws.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the capability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
